Capoeira Angola OGUM 

The group of Capoeira Angola OGUM was founded by Mestre (Master) Carcara' in 2000 in Naples, Italy. Mestre Carcara' has been a student of one of the greatest Mestres of Capoeira in Brasil: Jose' Gabriel Goes, Mestre Gato Preto.  The Capoeira Angola OGUM group has worked for more than 20 years in Italy  focusing on the promulgation of Afro-Brasilian culture from the north-east of Brazil in Naples and southern Italy. The group organise and deliver courses and workshops of: 

In 2010 the group of Capoeira Angola OGUM became officially a "cultural and ethnic association"  starting to collaborate with non-profit organisations and schools operating in the city of Naples to use Capoeira Angola as an educational tool.  Several workshops and courses of Capoeira Angola were organised for kids from at-risk neighbourhoods of the Metropolitan region of Naples. 

Currently, Capoeira Angola OGUM operates in Italy and Spain. Since December 2023, Instrutor (Instructor) Fujão started a brand new group in Lancaster, UK. 

CAPOEIRA ANGOLA in LANCASTER.

Since December 2023 a new nucleus of the group of Capoeira OGUM has started activities in Lancaster UK.

The group, under the supervision of Instrutor Fujão aims to explore and study the traditional Capoeira Angola from Salvador da Bahia. The classes are comprehensive of practice of basic movements of capoeira, music classes to learn how to play the instruments and sing the traditional songs of Capoeira angola.
